Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
The item upgrade allows players to raise the item level for equippable items such as weapons, armor and trinkets above a certain threshold. They can be obtained at any item upgrader NPC using the appropriate currency.
Upgrade components are integrated into equipment to offer bonus effects and attribute bonuses. These are usually slot-restricted however, there are some universal upgrades.
Rerolling
In Diablo 4, a player can reroll a item upgrade . This is done by using the Level Up feature, which pauses your game and displays four randomly chosen upgrades. The player can choose one of the upgrades and then continue the battle. The cost of rerolling is the same as a regular Level Up. Players must be cautious to select the appropriate upgrade, as they will not know the new stats until the item has been rerolled.
The upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's level of rarity and tier. Each upgrade level boosts the power of the item by +3.
